» Procurement Opportunities in the Energy Sector and the Olympics. On June 29, the Brazil Council organized an event to address procurement in the green energy sector and the 2016 Rio Olympics Games. Carlos Senna, Energy Expert of the Brazilian National Confederation of Industries (CNI), addressed the main opportunities in two thriving green energy markets in Brazil: hydropower and wind power generation. João Saravia , Manager of Procurement of the Rio 2016 Games Organizing Committee, addressed the steps companies need to take in order to participate in the procurement process for the Games. He mentioned that a supplier database for companies interested in doing business with the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee is being created and will be operational by the end of this year.
