Making Green from Green, a series of sustainability events with Certificate Program, tackles Corporate Environmental Sustainability on Thursday, March 18, 2010, 6:00-8:30pm. Jeffrey Hollender, Chief Inspired Protagonist, Co-Founder & Executive Chairperson of Seventh Generation will participate on a panel and autograph copies of his new book, The Responsibility Revolution: How the Next Generation of Businesses Will Win. Dr. Beth Sauerhaft, Senior Manager Environmental Stewardship for PepsiCo North America will also be on the panel, along with Stephen Boston, Chief Sustainability Officer, CA, the global IT software management company. Professor Geoffrey Heal, Paul Garret Professor of Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility, at Columbia Business School will moderate the discussion. In October,Columbia Business School Alumni Club of New York, in the first initiative of ts newly formed Sustainability Committee, launched its monthly series on sustainability issues, Making Green from Green. The series runs from October 2009 through June 2010, covering Real Estate, Renewable Energy, Marketing, International, Corporate Social Responsibility, Finance, Emerging Technologies, and Green Design. It is geared towards people who want to know more about sustainability and may be looking for how to incorporate it into their careers. The Certificate Program will be awarded for attendance at six, or more, of the events. Advance online registration will close at noon on March 17, the day before the event. Register early, as this series has been selling out and walk-ins have not been permitted. Attendence is open to non-members of the alumni club. |
